A quick 10 minute Uber ride to River Street and about a 25 minute drive to Tybee Island! The Traveler Room is private and locks with an electronic keypad. When you arrive, please make yourselves at home and feel free to adjust the thermostat to your liking. This listing is a great fit for young couples or travelers who have previous experience booking private bedrooms within a shared space. It’s likely that on busy weekends or popular travel times that you’ll be sharing the home with other Airbnb guests and may interact with them in passing. Each bedroom is listed as its own Airbnb. This is a shared space, and we ask that all of our guests are courteous and respectful. Please note that we cannot be responsible for the behavior of other guests. Parking: There is free, on-street parking available. This is very common in Savannah - if you decide to stay downtown, you will have a very hard time finding off-street parking. There is usually ample parking available, but it is first come, first served and there are no reserved spaces. We cannot guarantee parking spaces, or enough space for trailers, U-Hauls, boats, etc. Please be advised of weekly street cleaning - there are signs that indicate which day of the week the street cleaning is, and if you happen to stay during street cleaning, you can just park on the opposite side of the street. Quiet Hours: This is a residential neighborhood. Please be advised that we ask all guests to respect 10PM quiet hours every night of the week. Any violations may result in a formal report on Airbnb or an early termination of your reservation. Any unapproved late checkouts may result in additional fees. There is a $50 shipping fee for any items that you leave behind and need shipped back to you. I’d recommend this home to anyone looking to come to Savannah to have a great time and experience the city as locally and authentically as possible! If a residential neighborhood filled with art students and families of folks who look differently than you will make you uncomfortable, then I’d recommend a hotel. If things like dust on blinds, leaves on the patio, or scuffs on the stairs are what will determine whether or not you enjoy your stay, I’d also recommend a hotel. It just depends on what you’re looking for as a visitor, and if you’re unsure about what may be the most suitable for you and your needs, I’m happy to chat with you at any point to help you determine that! The kitchen, bathrooms, backyard, and patio are shared with potentially other guests. The whole house is available for booking, if needed. This free shuttle service runs every 10 minutes, with free Wi-Fi, and "hop on/hop off" service at any of 33 stops around the Historic District placing you within easy walking distance of more than 45 cultural attractions, local museums, and many popular shops, restaurants, and pubs. The nearest trolley stop is on Whitaker Street - just 2-blocks away! ✹ The Forsyth loop runs from East Victory Drive, north on Drayton Street, to Johnson Square on Bryan Street, and then south on Whitaker Street to West Victory Drive. ✹ The Downtown loop runs from East Liberty Street, north on Price Street - to Eastern Wharf – then north on Lincoln Street, to Congress Street, and south on MLK Jr. Blvd to West Liberty Street. ✔ UBER – There are plenty ride/share options too! It's quick and easy to catch an Uber or Lyft throughout the city. There is a $35 pet fee if you decide to bring your pet. Please no cats! Pets cannot be disruptive to other guests or destructive to the home. Alcohol: - Downtown Savannah has an open container policy (plastic only), which means you can walk around and drink downtown (limited to north of Park St) - Bars are concentrated on West Congress St. I also would like to mention from previous experiences that my house is in a diverse neighborhood of a diverse city and my guests as well as neighbors reflect that. It's one of my favorite parts of hosting! If you are uncomfortable with others who may be of different skin color or beliefs as you, I would not recommend my home.
